AMHC in the Media: Amanda Edwards featured on 'IndieWire'

IndieWire recently included our own Amanda Edwards in their article "Intimacy Coordinators and Mental Health: How Hollywood Wants to Protect Your Body and Mind."

Here's one of our favorite excerpts from the piece:

A mental health coordinator, as Edwards describes, is someone who deals with providing care and emotional support to those who need it on set during the filming of difficult moments. ... She’s there for the actors who need to perform these heavy scenes, but also for the boom operator who has to hear screaming in their headphones over and over again, or the cameraman who might have an unexpected trigger. “We consistently get feedback that ‘I don’t know why we’ve been trying to do this without you for all this time. We’re so grateful that you’re here,'” Edwards said.

Thank you IndieWire and writer Brian Welk for highlighting such important work, and the nuance between these two fields of intimacy and mental health!
