AMHC in the Media: "Eva Victor and Adele Romanski Want More Mental Health Coordinators on Set"

Content Note: reference to SA

AMHC President and co-fouder Amanda Edwards served as Mental Health Coordinator for the groundbreaking A24 film, Sorry, Baby. The film explores the aftermath of sexual assault by a person in a position of power in a way that hasn’t been done before: both for audiences and for cast and crew.

Through collaboration with a brilliant production and directing team as well as an Intimacy Coordinator who was ready to dive into the work together, Amanda was able to offer the unique support that comes from the MHC role for everyone involved.

The result? An award-winning directorial debut AND a film that keeps psychological safety at the forefront.

One element [comedian Rose] Matafeo...was keen to dissect was Victor and Romanski having both an intimacy coordinator and a mental health coordinator on set. “I don’t know if that’s something that’s happening yet,” Romanski, best known for producing Moonlight (2016) and Aftersun (2022) said about onboarding a mental health coordinator, “but it isn’t happening that much in the States, to be honest.”

Congrats to the Sorry, Baby team!
